The President the Pontifical Council for the Laity

arcibiskup Mons. Ryłko v úvodnej sv. omši II. svetového kongresu cirkevných hnutí a nových spoločenstiev okrem iného povedal:

Representatives of ecclesiastical movements and new communities of scattering across all continents, you bring to the Lord's altar your enthusiasm for the kingdom of God and its spread throughout the world.
n the liturgical context of the feast day (Visitation of the Virgin Mary), in which we begin the work of the Second World Congress of Church Movements and New Communities, it is said of the amazement of the meeting. It is a challenge for us to experience Congress as well. We are to rejoice and marvel at the miraculous variety of the charisms that the Holy Spirit enriches the Church, our times. Marvel at the profound unity of the ecclesial mystery. Marvel at how beautiful the charisms are when they live in depth, with enthusiasm, in loyalty! How beautiful is the Church, adorned with so many wonderful gifts that are a powerful incentive for her evangelistic work in the world! What a beautiful Christian life that brings so much holiness fruit!
For all this, let us cast our voices into Mary's Magnificent, and glorify the Lord for the great works he does through church movements and new communities. It is not at all about triumphalism, about emphasizing one's own qualities, about selfishness. We want to give praise to God, well aware that the works to which we are called are not the fruit of our bravery, our intelligence. We know that their true origin is the Holy Spirit. "The Lord has looked upon the humiliation of his servant" - sings Our Lady at Visitation. Our Lady shows us on this occasion how to call her: to be Christophore as the bearer of Christ. Indeed, our proclamation would be very poor if the enchanting beauty of Christ did not pass through us. Our Christian life would be very miserable if it did not pluck people looking at us if it did not raise the question and desire to know the Lord.
Ján Pavol II. totiž v Novo millenio ineunte, 16., napísal: "Today's people, perhaps unknowingly, demand from believers not only to talk about Christ, but to somehow show them". And here, of course, are the new charisms present in the Church, the paths of education and the formations they provide. These have formed the crowds of authentic witnesses of Christ's attraction, ready to bet everything on the gospel.
